Order Information
Deposits: Your deposit secures a slot on our production schedule. If you choose, you can place an order using our monthly installment plan. Payments will be charged to your credit card over four monthly billing cycles.
Delivery Time: Your order will be handcrafted and finished to your exact specifications. Depending on the distance between Maine and your order’s destination, the delivery time is typically 12-16 weeks after receipt of your deposit. We do not ship outside of the continental US to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean.
Sales Tax: We do not collect sales tax on orders shipped outside of Maine. A 5.5% sales tax charge is added to all orders to be picked up or delivered within Maine.
Order Confirmations: When we receive your deposit, we will send you an order confirmation. Carefully review the order confirmation for accuracy. If there are corrections or changes, notify us immediately and we will issue an updated order confirmation. We will build your furniture in accordance with the final order confirmation.
Order Cancellations: If you want to cancel your order after making a deposit, send us an email or contact us at (207) 331-3500. Orders cancelled prior to the start of production (i.e. before any labor costs or material purchases have been incurred) will be refunded in full. After the start of production but prior to shipment, the advance deposit is subject to a partial refund based on the cost of materials and labor incurred on your order. Once an order is shipped, it may not be cancelled. If you refuse your order at the point of delivery, you will forfeit your deposit and be responsible for all shipping charges.
Eco-Materials: Made with tulipwood (yellow poplar). Our hardwood supplier is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council which promotes environmentally sound management of the world's forests. We use oversize bed rails and 3 1/4” square corner posts. The bed is secured with dowels, heavy-duty architectural bolts and hidden structural screws to maximize the structural strength and stability of the bed.
Eco-Finishes: We are fully compliant with stringent regulations set by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) that govern the off-gassing of paints and lacquers within interior living environments. Our beds are finished with eco-friendly paints, stains and lacquers that contain negligible VOCs. All of our finishes are formaldehyde-free.
